Maff/Quarantine

Clearance fee per boat $22
Rubbish $0.40 per kg
Overtime $20 per hour

Police

Fines of upto $10,000 and/or imprisonment for swimming with whales on your own. Very dangerous anyway… a grumpy whale can hurt!

Don’t drink and drive.

Do not park a car on the right hand side of the road, Random check points…

Customs

After-hours clearance $140 – Saturday

Do not come ashore unless cleared by customs, fly Q flag

Immigration

Non-Visa country $69 – 1 month

Schengen Country free – 3 months

Visa waiver country free 1 month. Apply once you arrive, don’t bother trying beforehand.

Additional 31-day visa $69 (max 6 months in total).

A 15-day adult visa $57.50.

Children (Under 16) 31-day visa $11.50

ONLY Nukua’alofa and Neiafu can do visa extensions!!

One way crew fee $34.50 (fly in, sail out crew).

One way crew visa $34.50 (Nukua’lofa, Neiafu processing a  week).

Visa expired/other breaches fine $1150

Overtime $20 an hour

Fisheries

Vava’u use of Fisheries wharf during clear in/out, refuelling $20

Consider doing an affidavit if you believe you have been corruptly charged….
