Pharmacy at Hospital. Vava’u has 2 independent pharmacies and doctor by appointment. Universal pharmacy and clinic +676 70213 and Seini’s pharmacy and clinic +676 8820427. A third pharmacy is planned to be located in the old ANZ building (same block as Cafe Tropicana) March 2024.
 
A good idea to carry some PCR test for your own piece of mind.
 
Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya are in Tonga during the tourist season, bring deet spray etc
 
Staph is in the shoreline, do not swim if you have open cuts. Clean and cover 2-4 times a day, avoid an infection that requires antibiotics!
 
If you have to stay overnight in the Hospital, you have to supply your own linen, toiletries. Nurses do not look after you as such, you must have family,  do friends this…
 
Quarantine:
Protecting Tongas plants and animals. Yacht rubbish clearance. Please also contact them regarding procedures for clearing in animals prior to arriving into the county.

At this time no restrictions on fruit, veg, food. Best to declare fruit and veg though in case of issues. If you have crew they can bring in frozen meat in an insulated bag, with a receipt,.. Declare it on arrival and pay a very reasonable duty fee.
